Great Sewing Tutorials and Projects for Beginners

I promised my friend Jo that i would do some posts containing easy tutorials and ideas for beginners in the land of sewing. I recently lent her one of my three sewing machines (3 is just greedy isn't it!) and so far she has made a very funky cushion and somes bags and blankets for her daughter in Kindergarten. Now all i need her to do is make a blog and start posting pictures!
