Strawberry Shortcakes

Oh how cute! I made this dress for a special little girl called Neve. Girls are so easy to sew for! I used MCalls Pattern M5613. If was very easy to make and understand and has sweet little pleated pockets. I still have to find the perfect buttons for the front. I was hoping to find some little strawberrys, but alas, i can't find any. If all else fails i will cover my own buttons with strawberrys from the fabric.

All thats left now is to hem the bottom of my Amy Butler Barcelona Skirt and that will be three projects finished this week... mmmm... what will next week hold?

I would like to make a little pleated clutch out of this fabulous fabric i bought from Spoonflower before Christmas that arrived this week.

That is the sweetest dress. I love the print you have used.

My latest creative endeavour is a pair of little boy's trousers, but sadly no pics yet. They don't look trouser-like enough yet!

I just made some more food fly covers for some friends presents - nice, quick and fairly easy.

I too wish I had a little girl to sew for at times...

You know I only have scrapbooking talent; I don't even know how to turn on a sewing machine, much less thread a bobbin or sew a dress. But I could make a scrapbook page about it...

I have sewn buttons on a page before; does that count for something?

You amaze me with your talent!
