Patterns for Toddlers

Here is a bunch of great easy tutorials and patterns for toddlers and little kiddies.

The Pillowcase Dress Tutorial at Freshly Picked.

Tutu Pattern at Chic 'n Joy. Big Butt Baby Pants (perfect for Max) from Made by Rae.

Here is a great collection of all the ones for boys over at Sew Mamma Sew.
Including Easy Kids Pants at Rookie Moms.

One of the best tutorials i have seen is for a little girls dress made from a buttoned mens shirt - there are a few around but here are the best i have seen

On Craftster. Very cute with frilly sleeves and buttons down the back.

At Made. Love the buttons down the front.

And this post here on Craftster even has the pants made form the sleeves.

So get sewing everyone!

Screen Printing Ideas

Flower Daze

Thought i would share some of the scribbles (computerized scribbles!) i am working on to take with me to the screen printing workshop tomorrow. Knowing me i will probably get there and try something new and bugger it up be anyway!

I am also probably getting a bit too details as we are hand stencilling it first..
I think this is a good one, i would like one that can be printed over and over and to turn into fabric...

Art Nouveau Inspired

mmm too much like snow flakes WAY to complicated

I create most of these designs with Adobe Illustrator, the only problem with that though is everything ends up neat, even and symmetrical. Somethings you just want some rough hand drawn stuff.....mmmmm

As you can see - it's another slow Friday at Katy's work!

Pattern Design

I was bored AGAIN at work today so made this pattern up this would be one yard, i have just been playing around coz i want to order something from Spoonflower after christmas... i think it is very art deco/art nouveau style which i love. I need to change the colours but it's a start!, Ilike the idea of having one with a border pattern along one edge and a match strip or alternate pattern.. and of course has to be based on browns, coz i love brown. What do you think..?
