Yudu? I DO!!!

Totally spur of the moment i found a Yudu machine in the scrapbooking shop down the road!! They haven't even started selling them in Australia yet!! A lady had won one from America and had decided to sell it, box unopened with ALOT of extras, and i happened to walk into the shop to ask to go on the waiting list for own and they had one sitting there in the shop.. jaw drops ... i made a quick obligatory phone call to the husband, and then bought it!

Did you know that you could screen print on....Wood, Canvas that is already stretched (the lid is expanable to you can put bulky objects in) leather, like belts, Album covers, glass.

This bookshelf was made by screen printing the wood panels before putting it together!

So i have been surfing around the blogs to find some good Yudu advice and i have found some pearlers, the best one is Erin Bassett from CreativitE. She has videos and lots of tutorials with advice on the best way to get good results, apparently the Emulsion step is one of the hardest. This tutorial on burning the emulsion is awesome.
Her she has even used the Yudu to screen print on wood.

So guess what i am up to today??!! I am going to make my first screen and give it a crack!! Hope you have a wonderful Sunday.

Glad you are having so much fun with the Yudu.

All About Paper often gets advance shipments of new products and tools from our great network on contacts in the industry. For a little scrapbooking store you would be surprised to see what we either stock or can put our hands on quickly.

Looking forward to seeing the fun things you are making with the Yudu and hope that we have many more happy encounters.

Hey, I was wondering if you had any trouble plugging it into Australian voltage? Did you need a converter or anything? Thanks!

Hi Bryn, you definitely need a voltage converter, and a lug converter, i got one that does both with my Yudu. American has a lower voltage than us, so the Yudu will fry if you don't use a converter in Oz,
