Diddles Design

I have my new name!

So many lovely comments yesterday and today, thanks everyone! They all got my naming juices flowing and a comment by CurlyPops yesterday inspired me... that her Blog is named after her Dad's nickname for her... (hope thats not a secret!)

I was named after the book "What Katy Did" By Susan Coolidge, my Dad's nickname for me is Diddles. Diddles Design??.... I like the sound of Diddles Design!

- It has a story that means alot to me
- It gives a happy feeling
- Sounds like "giggles"
- Is linked to What Katy Did, my original name
- It uses Alliteration, and alliteration is a cool word :-)

The image above is just a rough idea what i a, looking at for a header... i have bought www.diddlesdesign.com too!!

So what do you think..??? and i would also love to know, Where did you get your blog or business name from??

Cute! I am having trouble getting a website address for my name too... which is a combo of my fav pattern and my middle name!

Love it! The header is soooo cute.

I love purple, paisley and patchwork, so that's where purple paisley patch comes from. My ebay name is paisleyrulz, can you see a theme emerging? LOL

Diddles is a cute nickname, my dad calls me Kelloggs, I hate it!

Yay! I'm glad you found a happy name. Actually my Dad used to call me willywagtail because I could never keep still and I think that it sums up the way I go at my sewing. Cherrie

Lovely, great that it has a story, and appropriate to your future products. And that screenprinting machine makes it all look so NEAT! I bought a small NEHOC machine which uses a 'blown lightbulbs' system (that's not the technical term) which is a bit expensive and I'm sure not very eco friendly, but would be keen to hear your thoughts on this system. Enjoy the expo too.
And I thought up Shiny Happy Art after seeing REM sing Shiny Happy Monsters on Sesame Street one day, and it just suits the art that I do. I've had it for 5 years now, and although babies are keeping things slow, one day it'll be a lot bigger. My new site is www.shinyhappyart.com but I still have some things to change, so if you visit, be sure to come back again soon!

Great name! I like your banner too.

After much searching and finding every name I liked was taken I made up mine by taking 2 letters from each of my cats (Erin, Ivy & Gwen).

Love it! It really works, Katy - well done.

3 sheets came from... well, lots of reasons, but I guess it can be distilled down to me loving the number 3! (silly reason I guess, but I do)!

You can do anything with 3 sheets of any material you choose, I think.

Love it! I'm so glad you were inspired to think backwards - it's funny how childhood nicknames end up being so naturally perfect for a crafty/design business.
