Markets

A few weeks ago I did some markets at Broadbeach, I hadn't really mentioned it because it was quite disappointing and I won't be doing markets again for a while, but I though I would post a picture of my little table I had, I even brang along my Abraham Owls made from a pattern at Lolly Chops to keep an eye on my table (not for sale of course, how could i give those babies up!)

But on an upside, my best selling seems to happen through word of mouth, I sold some pendants this week to a lovely lady called Brigit that works with my STBSIL (soon to be sister in law), THANKS BRIGIT!

You really had your table looking very professional and organised too. People browse a lot I find or at least I know I do at markets anyway. Word of mouth is always the best business strategy anyway. It's a great photo anyway.

So sad the market was a disappointment. Some people have no appreciation for handmade goodness and all the work that goes into it.

But I do, and I love your stuff, and I wish it didn't cost so darn much to ship it across the ocean.

Too bad you can't train one of those cockatoos to fly a package here, like a messenger bird...

that's a shame, amy at badskirt has a paper on her sidebar about working at the markets and shares her thoughts...good and bad.....might be worth a look
