The dentist yesterday was shocking i made my husband come in with me, he held my foot while keeping his head behind a computer screen so he didn't have top watch. Very thankful of him coming in with me.
I found 7 bracelets i knitted from wire about a year ago when I thought I was going to start a market stall and never got around to it (surprise surprise, "Half-Job-Katy" strikes again). They were kind easy to make, it just hurts your fingers while knitted with the wire, i use to knit them on the train and get odd looks. You just feed all your beads into the wire first and then start knitting with relatively large needs, knit one normal row (don't know the terminology!) picking up a bead with each knit, and then go back the other way with the opposite knit (purl?). and Waa laa! You just weave the clasps on each end with some wire, being careful to feed all ends of the wire into beads so nothing is sticking out to poke the wearer.
SO let me know what you think, any advice would be great as I am new to this!
Also i have mentions before about how I am doing a swap with a lovely lady in America of a Sausage dog toy and a Nintendo DS puch, (along with e few other little surprises!), I was meant to send them today but took some pain killers and feel asleep for 6 hours, whoops, so I am going to send them tomorrow, Sorry Heather!
I have really enjoyed doing this swap, and getting everything ready for the parcel, so if anyone out there is interested in anything else you can see i make just let me know and we can work out a deal!
I have also found a website that lists lots of sewing blogs here, very handy.
Take a look at my New Etsy Items below.

Katy, don't worry about it; I didn't get the chance to get to the post office, with the power still out in many places here, it's been crazy.
I'll mail mine tomorrow, too, and give you a shout out on my blog.
Hope you're feeling better soon!
(What a sweet hubby you have! I can just picture him there holding your foot while cringing at the sounds coming from the dentist!)
Poor you!
Your bracelets are beautiful!
Katy, those bracelets are truly gorgeous. I must go and check out your Etsy shop. And you sound like you have a very sweet husband too! Dentists, yuk...enjoy your WTBAY feature day!
Ooh... I'm a knitter but I wouldn't have thought to knit with wire and beads. **scurries off to the craft shop with wicked intent**
Enjoy your WTBAY day! :)
Just lovely Katy ... while the US dollar is so crazy maybe you should offer for Aussie girls to buy driect from you - via direct deposit.
I went to buy something of Etsy last week but the exchange rate made it unaffordable - but the aussie seller said I could go direct - that was nice :)
Cheers le
Enjoy your WTBAY day. I have a knitted bracelet like yours that a friend made for me. Its great, because I can shape it a bit so it doesn't slide up and down my arm. I love them.
wow, can imagine the strange look you got on the train....
But a very creative idea.
What a lovely idea! And they look so great, gotta go check out your Etsy page, I can feel a purchase coming on.... :)
